Just Finding Out

So, after trying to find jobs abroad and going for several interviews in the UK I have a job in Ethiopia. It all happened so quick...I emailed Richard at Great Ethiopian Run (GER) on the Monday and by Friday I was going. The deal is good, event stuff around the large international 10k with 32,000 people the Womans 5k as well as working on a programme called Education for Girls to get people into running, accomodation found and paid for me along with a mobile and reasonable local wage - so I am not going to make my millions but how exciting. The news has not gone down well with my parents, understandably they dont want me to go and are worried for me but I hope they will come to terms with it and be slightly excited that finally we are living a dream and doing things we want to do before settling down.
Every morning I bug Ermi (he already works for GER but is over here for 3 months working at Scottish Athletics) with millions of questions of what we should bring, what our apartment will be like - by October he will be going mad I think! Our heads are buzzing with all the things we have to sort out before leaving in mid October. Matt is as you can imagine worried about what he will do but has already been on the case and emailed as many people out there as possible. Something will work out for him I hope.
For now we will contend with the rain of Scotland and enjoy every minute we can with our friends and family!
